I'm on a big push to be optimistic today. The world is currently working against me in this endeavor, but by God, I'm going to do it. I will not let other people make their problems my problems. I will not let other people's moods effect mine. I will not let the wild and sick kids and Pinterest sidetrack me today.
(I remain unconvinced)
Yesterday, my mood went from "meh" to "ugh" in a matter of a few hours. Before I knew it, I was bowing out of dinner with friends in favor of going to the gym and working my aggression out. By the time I was done, I'd worked harder than I had in a long time and even though my face was as red as my vintage Coke t-shirt and I thought I might puke, it felt good. I came home to a clean house, sleeping kids and a husband who was happy to give me a much needed hug.
(I pretty much adore him)
So it's a new day. And it's a Tuesday. Hurray!
1. I was thrilled to find two quarts of gorgeous and fragrant fresh strawberries yesterday. We're pretty lucky to live in a place where the produce selection is decent most of the year. I'm sure this is due to a multitude of pesticides and unnatural growing techniques. But, if I don't read the two books my BFF insists I should read, I can continue to be blissfully unaware of the cancer eating away at my body. Strawberries in January are delicious!
2. I don't care how much weight I lose, stretchy yoga pants and t-shirts will always be my outfit du jour. Sorry, folks.
3. I'm ready to cut my hair again. I'm thinking short. And red.
4. Every family needs at least one kid who sees the world from a completely different perspective. In our family, this child is Reese. If you're looking at the sky, he's counting blades of grass. If you're counting to five, he's counting backwards from eleventy billion. I love, love, love that kid.
5. Totally ready for baseball season.
6. It's funny to me how one event can make you stop dead in your tracks and rethink things that happened in the past.
7. If I have to climb into my car from the passenger's side because you're parked too close to me on the driver's side, guess what? You're doing it wrong!
8. I could play with Google Earth all day long. I don't care that it's creepy or that they're are scary implications that come along with having this kind of technology. I've seen Enemy of the State! Who cares? I can totally see the boys' tree house from space!
9. If you haven't seen The Artist, go. Seriously, I was skeptical, but it was ah-maz-ing. Also, Berenice Bejo looks exactly like my friend Joy. You should be jealous that I'm friends with gorgeous people (or, you know, that they're friends with me).
10. It would be fantastic if I could A) send emails, B) find all of my songs and put them back into iTunes and C) sign up for this damn race in two weeks with a Discover card instead of being forced to use Visa or MasterCard (really, it's 2012 people).

You're gonna race? Really? Well, good for you. Would a red neck husband like the Artist? Look at you working out your aggressions positively. That is so healthy. I usually eat mine or drown them in Diet Coke or migraine them. Hope today is blissful.
Red is a great color. Are you thinking natural red or a red that you can only find in a crayola box?
I freaking <3 strawberries
LOL. I adore top ten tuesday just for our exchanges. really.
We get fresh strawberries up here, but they're $4 for a pint, and shaped like a Mexican turd. I steer clear.
Baseball season....oh yeah, baby! I'm LOVING the trades going on right now....Tigers for the World Series, baby! If the Rangers and Tigers end up there, we should TOTALLY plan to meet up at the game. (and promise NOT to beat each other up no matter who wins). :) I'll be hte housewife in the nose-bleeds wearing yoga pants. :)
Whats up with #6?
I have to agree 100% that yoga pants and t-shirts are the best ever outfits! I love comfy and I have a man who loves me comfy. :)
After 16 years I finally colored my hair. I went with Auburn, and loved it! I will admit I was scared to death doing it.
1. Strawberries are awesome at anytime of the year. So good!

3. Love it! Especially the red.
4. I think my husband was this kid.
5. Me too. I dont do football.
