Tuesday Ten!

I just sent the happiest kid ever back to preschool this morning.

I'm not sure what that says about my parenting. Probably not a lot. But, this is a home that thrives on order and cleanliness and routine and these last few weeks have been difficult without it. While I did enjoy the holiday and the ability to sleep past 7:00am, I would be lying if I said I wasn't relieved to have things back to normal around here.

This extended holiday also taught me how important it is to organize activities for the kids. That's not always easy in December/January, with the hormonal Texas weather, but having things to do sure would keep the playroom from looking like a bomb went off. Which, right now, it does...

So. It's Tuesday. Which means (drum roll?)...Tuesday Ten!

1. I'm still learning to navigate my new phone. I have hung up on callers a few times and my spelling ability has gone down the tubes, thanks to a touch screen keyboard. And it would be helpful if I could figure out how on earth to turn off autocorrect.

2. Few things are more awesome than having to chase down your overly excited, pajama-clad four year olds who are curious about the new bedroom set being delivered next door. While you're not wearing a bra.

3. I am in need of new book suggestions. Sure, I have five or six on my Nook that I haven't even cracked open yet. But, you can never have enough books on-hand. Because, really, you're not always in the mood to read stories about a society without feelings.

4. I started a new devotional this month that centers around being content and enjoying what you have. Admittedly, this is a difficult thing for me. Although, the more I focus on it, the more I realize that I'm actually doing better than a lot of people. On the other hand, it would be more helpful if things didn't keep breaking in this house...

5. I'm hosting a Glade Expressions House Party. They were kind enough to send me free products to test out. I have no idea if I'm supposed to give them to my guests, but after trying them I'm feeling mighty stingy. They all smell soooooo good!

6. I don't know who's more entertaining. Ron Paul with his whole, "can't we all just get along and focus on the issues." Or, Newt, The Keebler Elf and Mitt Romney going at each other like a couple of fat girls fighting over the last cupcake.

7. Really Beyonce? Really?

8. Thanks NFL.com for bringing back my least favorite song from the last decade. Because of you, my four year olds won't stop singing Bad Day. Worst. Song. Ever.

9. I know it's wrong to laugh, but it's always hilarious when your kid hops up on the edge of your bed and then immediately falls off.

10. Can we all just agree that it's rude to apologize to people, say you'll change and then immediately do the exact same thing again?

ok- I love you. Undying love for you!

1. I have a new touch screen too. and oh, I need to go back to the old-school system.

2. If I would have been your neighbor, I would have thanked you for making me feel better about myself. :) (which is a random occurance)

3. What kind of reading do you like?

4. Name of book, please?

5. That smelly stuff always gives me a headache. Is this stuff headache proof?

6. Seriously, they need to give us a good, solid, conservative candidate. Mitt is only a small step above the d-bag in office right now.

7. Word.

8. This made me LAUGH OUT LOUD! Every 4.2 minutes. My sons sing it EVERYTIME. Ugh.

9. I would have laughed too.

10. Some people just need to be slapped. In the face. With a chair.

(I second the Napoleon Dynamite ugh. In a family that appreciates slap-stick humor, some of those are just unavoidable.)

Now what did Beyonce do besides have a baby and have her husband make up a rap about her miscarriage? Is that unusual? I'm so out of it.

When I saw your comment about the song "Bad Day" I thought immediately about the REM song "It's been a bad day, please don't take a picture. It's been a bad day, pleeeaase." For the record I love that song but the other one sucks. It can't be a real song about a bad day without the phrase "shit so thick you could stir it with a stick."

What, you didn't shell out $1.3 million to have the twins in private?? LOL! Love it when the kids fall off the bed :-)
