A Friday Five...

I feel guilty for not blogging more this week. It's been nice to have an actual keyboard again. One that doesn't require that I edit everything fifty times just so I can make sure "mechanical" doesn't change to "masturbation" without me realizing it until the deed is done.

That one is always fun to explain.

Anyway. I have a lot to get off my chest today and since I have no idea if Bob is going to blog today (or ever again), I'm going to make an executive decision and just do a Friday Five myself. Just because I feel like it.

1. I hate it when bloggers lie. Hate. It. Seriously, your life is a wreck. Admit it already and try to salvage what's left of your reputation (it ain't much). Stop duping and baiting readers for clicks, let the blog fall by the wayside and go focus on your family because it's abundantly clear that they need you. Stop playing word games and just own your bad decisions. In my insignificant opinion, people would probably respect you a little bit more if you displayed even the tiniest bit of integrity.

2. I am completely and totally grateful for my mother-in-law. I probably don't appreciate her as much as I should, especially knowing what some of my other friends go through with theirs. I am truly blessed to have such a wise and amazing person in my life.

3. I don't know what the hell people expect out of me anymore. Look, I am who I am. If you can't deal with that and can't talk to me about it, then feel free to remove yourself from my life instead of doing the whole passive-aggressive "I'm not talking to you" bull. I don't have time for it. And before you ask, yes, I do realize there's irony here somewhere.

4. Wow. Barak Obama has time to appear on American Idol. That's so special. I guess I should just be grateful that he's taking a break from running the entire country into the ground. At this point, I'm almost willing to endure a possible Romney/Gingrich ticket just to get out of this mess.

5. I know we're not technically "allowed" to complain about winter when we live in Texas. But, sweet Zeus, we endured a summer of five thousand degree temperatures and no rain (but, plenty of humidity), so when it's January and 75 degrees, I'm not exactly going to be thrilled.

I like you have an amazing MIL (well she will be my MIL in a month) and find myself so fortunate not to have a Monster in law.
I've been out of blogland for a long time, to focus on me and my family as we have just went thru some seriously major changes in a very short time period. I wouldn't have it any other way.

You know I don't lie. You get me down and dirty or not at all. You're so lucky to have a wonderful MIL. I have a crappy Son-IL and that's bad enough. (I have no MIL. I have a feeling none of that made sense.) I know we just vote for the lesser of stupids. Sigh! Have a good "hot" weekend.

Agree 100%, as per usual. This winter freaking sucks. As do certain Bloggers who have let their Internet popularity go straight to their head.

Obama has free time for anything that makes him feel important or otherwise strokes his ego. If he's not posing then he's playing golf. And if he's not doing either of those then he's doing something he doesn't have the authority to do or otherwise fucking us all. At least Clinton limited his screwing to the interns. This one is the king of bad presidents.

I'm totally with you on the bloggers that lie. I find it pathetic. Some people shouldn't even own a computer.

I have a pretty decent MIL too...when she's sober.

I will gladly send you some of my negative 20 degree weather if you send me some of that 75 degrees!!

I would feel guilty for having such a wonderful mother in law if it wasn't for all the money I'm spending on therapy to deal with my mother. If I had an evil set of in laws I would be tempted to give up on the whole family thing and move to Florida. For the record, the guy putting blogging before his family deserves a family like that. They could text him when someone dies just like my mom.

My MIL is pretty awesome too. Unfortunately she lives on the other end of the state so I rarely see her. Maybe that's why I think she's so great...?

Also, blogger who lie are total lame asses.
