Oh. Hey there, uh...readers.
(I still have readers, don't I?)
I'm sick. Again. Which is awesome since, you know, Thanksgiving is in, like, three days. And nothing says you love your family more than a pie you accidentally sneezed all over!
It's hard to feel festive when it's 80 degrees and humid outside. I was hoping to be able to show up for dinner in jeans, a sweater and a pretty scarf. Sadly, it looks like it'll be a pair of bermuda shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops. So, I've decided that when I'm rich (and the day is coming, I just know it), I'll have a summer home up north from May until December and a winter home in Texas from December to May. This, unfortunately limits my time in the Lone Star State and prolongs my time north of the Mason Dixon.
I'm gonna have to find a way to remedy that. Especially since the only thing more annoying than your Pinterest Happy Place being ruined by people you don't like is being asked fifty-four times if you had to ride a horse to school.
(for the record, no...I didn't)
I feel like summer is never going to end here. And that might sound appealing to those of you who have a summer that lasts two to three months, just like it's supposed to. But, I can assure you that seven months of heat, humidity and the stray thunderstorm has made us all restless and hoping for a winter with temperatures that plummet into the low 60's.
This whole post reminds me of that thing people say about how you talk about the weather when you have nothing else to talk about.
Yep.
So.
That's about all I've got today.

It snowed here last week..... but I LOVE the cold... so I'm happy about it ... I'd rather have cold and snow than cold and rain.
LOL!! We actually just got about 7 inches of snow over the weekend. But my Thanksgiving it's supposed to be 60!! Crazy! Just means I have a snow mess, and then a mud mess. Awesome!!
Haha I always bring up the weather when there's nothing to talk about. I can't imagine living somewhere that has 80 degree temperatures in November...are you living in the pits of hell? Yikes.
We got some rain in SoCal yesterday, not bad, just enough to let us know it's no longer summer. Thank god. Hope you get some cool weather soon & start feeling better.
I'm with you. I want to be in snow and cold for the holidays and then immediately fly out on my private jet to the warmer climes when they're over. (Oh, I do have a private jet in my imaginary rich world. Doesn't everyone?) Hope you feel better. I decided not to cook anything I like (pie, rolls, stuffing) for Thanksgiving. Sounds logical, doesn't it? I knew you'd agree.
I hate being sick. I'm kind of obsessive compulsive about not getting sick.
I totally envy your 80 degree Thanksgiving! Trade you my rainy, windy, 40 degree one..
It's in the high 30's here today. Raining, driziling, over cast....
BUT Thursday and Friday will be close to mid 50's!!!
Yes, you have readers...we are still here...lol. It stinks being sick around the holidays. Hopefully taking some OTC meds will help :) I do not envy you with so many months of summer. I will try to send some cold your way :)
